Find the next relevant cue
Map what attention is doing, select useful information and practise returning after distraction.
Use a fictional or non-identifying example. This worksheet supports learning; it is not a psychological assessment. Write on a printed copy or choose “Return” to build a downloadable plan online.
1. Locate the missed information
Describe when attention moved away and which relevant signal was missed.
2. Choose a short task cue
For this receiver, consider the server and ball information needed next. Explain the cue's job.
3. Plan a return after distraction
Identify a permitted moment to acknowledge the distraction and return to the agreed cue.
4. Observe attention in action
What behaviour would suggest the cue is being used? Include the athlete's account and comparable practice trials.
